Seachange Psychology

Seachange Psychology was established in 2016 after a period of personal and professional reflection resulted in a neccesary shift in the way I lived my life and practiced psychology. I provide a range of applied psychology services including psychological assessment and therapy, coaching, training, supervision and consultation, to promote and enable transformational change in individuals, children and families, teams and organisations.

For the past 4 years, I have worked as an independent Clinical Psychologist, alongside part-time roles with  a psychological therapy service,  providing adoption support, therapy and counselling often following legal proceedings. Additionally, at a residential school for young people with specialist educational needs including autistic spectrum condition and difficulties relating to the experience of attachment problems and trauma.

Dr Vicki Leidecker Clinical Psychologist

I am trained in the use of several therapeutic models, including, cognitive behavioural, mindfulness and compassion based, solution focused, narrative and EMDR therapy, and offer specialised psychological assessment and therapy to a range of individuals with a variety of complex emotional and behavioural difficulties. Since leaving the NHS, I have continued to develop my skills through regular specialist training and collaboration with other psychologists and mental health professionals.

I work in an integrative way, drawing from a full range of therapeutic approaches. This allows me to tailor my therapy to the unique qualities and needs of each individual as appropriate. This is one of the defining aspects of Clinical Psychology and fits well with my own values; being one of the aspects which first drew me to the profession.

I enjoy working with individuals in a way which is both client focused and collaborative. Happily, I have found that independent practice allows me to work flexibly and creatively within therapy in a way which clients really value too.

Independent practice means that I can respond promptly to referrals and offer a frequency of appointments to suit the individual.
