I have extensive experience of working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families who are encountering, for example the following:

Coaching enables individuals to unlock their potential. This allows them to deal with challenges, achieve goals, enhance their performance, and improve the overall quality of their personal and professional life, thereby fulfilling that identified potential.
In my coaching work I am particularly interested in the application of ideas derived from ACT, mindfulness and compassion focussed therapy and positive psychology. These approaches recognise the capacity of individuals to establish alternative perspectives regarding their difficulties and to identify and develop their strengths and values, enabling them to move from a position of surviving to thriving.
Individuals often have their own answers to their problems. By adopting a curious approach and if asked the right questions, they can clarify their mission, purpose and goals and be enabled to achieve their dreams and aspirations on a fulfilling journey of self-discovery.
I have considerable experience of supervising Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, and other mental health professionals in a variety of health and educational settings. This involves providing a thinking space to encourage reflection and promote personal and professional development.
Consultation sessions involve helping teams to identify and develop their individual and collective strengths. This allows them to enhance their professional relationships, enabling them to work more effectively together. I work with teams from both the public and private sector.
Educating others about psychological concepts is fundamental to my approach both within therapy and coaching, and as a stand-alone activity. I believe that providing individuals with knowledge empowers them to begin to make the changes they wish to see in themselves and their world.
I have developed and delivered several training packages, most recently, a programme aimed at helping individuals to better understand their mind and the role it plays in the difficulties they experience. This course promotes mindfulness and behaviour change. By noticing what’s important, individuals naturally move away from difficulties and towards what matters in their lives.
I also offer mental health training on specific topics on a bespoke basis. Please contact me to discuss what you have in mind.
